Rocking for Renovation: Ed Roland of Collective Soul Kicks Off Richey Suncoast Theatre's Campaign!



New Port Richey, FL – December 12, 2025

What a night! The Richey Suncoast Theatre (RST) officially launched its capital fundraising campaign with an incredible event—the first-ever benefit concert, “Letters from E: An Evening with Ed Roland of Collective Soul.” And it was a massive success!

🌟 Goal DOUBLED: Over $42,000 Raised!

The theatre set an initial fundraising goal of $20,000 to start the renovation process, but thanks to amazing community support, that goal was completely blown away.

  • Total Raised: $42,550

  • How the Funds Were Raised: Ticket sales, generous sponsorships, and an online auction featuring exclusive signed memorabilia from bands like Collective Soul, Our Lady Peace, and Live!

  • Where the Money Goes: These funds will be used directly for critical renovation projects to preserve the nearly 100-year-old venue, including:

    • A brand new roof.

    • Updated windows and doors.

    • An exterior makeover.

This vital work ensures the historic theatre can remain a home for the performing arts for future generations.



An Unforgettable Performance

The sold-out audience was treated to an unforgettable night of music thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Ed Roland, the frontman of Collective Soul, who donated his entire performance! Ed was joined on stage by his bandmates, Johnny Rabb and Jesse Triplett, for a powerful show that truly united music lovers and arts supporters.
