Clean comedy that connects. That is the promise, and it is exactly what Rahn Hortman delivers. The Tampa Bay comedian brings his high-energy, family-friendly stand-up to Richey Suncoast Theatre on Friday, January 22, for a night of big laughs about family, faith, relationships and everyday life.
From Milwaukee to the Tampa Bay Comedy Scene
Rahn was born in Milwaukee and later moved to Tampa, where he built his following on the stages of The Improv and Sidesplitters. It all started in the fifth grade, when a teacher let him put on a short show at the end of class. Today he is a husband, a father of four and a clean comic who tours the country. Creative Loafing named him Best Stand-Up Comedian in 2019.
Clean, Not Soft
Comedian Christopher Titus sums up Rahn's style in three words: clean, not soft. Rahn has toured nationally with Anjelah Johnson and Henry Cho, taped his first special, Good Game, with Dry Bar Comedy, and has appeared on Nickelodeon's Nick Mom Nite Out, Comedy Time TV and TBN. His comedy is also a regular on Sirius XM.
Off stage, Rahn is the founder and president of the Healing With Humor Foundation, a nonprofit that raises awareness of sickle cell anemia.
