Pace Center for Girls, Pasco: Community Partner Visit, Thursday, October 23, 2026 at Richey Suncoast Theatre
Some audiences earn their seats. On Thursday, October 23, 2026, Richey Suncoast Theatre rolled out the red carpet for a group of students from Pace Center for Girls, Pasco for a private theatre tour and movie screening. It was the second year in a row the girls have chosen our historic theatre for their celebration, following their first visit on October 31, 2025, when they voted for Beetlejuice.
A Reward the Girls Earned
This was no ordinary field trip. The visit was a Growth and Change incentive trip, a quarterly reward for Pace students who put in extra work and volunteer time to advance through Pace's Growth and Change leadership system. When Pace Pasco polled its girls about which incentive field trips they wanted to keep, the theatre tour and movie viewing made the top of the list.
Red Carpet, Center Stage and the Whole House
Richey Suncoast Theatre hosted the group at no cost and treated the girls to a snack and a drink. The students posed on the red carpet in front of our step and repeat, toured the historic stage, and then had the whole house to themselves for a private screening.
Renee Shelton of Pace Center for Girls, Pasco shared how much the day meant in a note to our team after the visit:
"Thank you so much for hosting our girls at the theater last week!! They are always so impressed with the theater, our downtown, and have so much fun 'owning' the whole place for the movie viewing!! We appreciate you treating us to a snack and a drink!!"
