Like a bat out of hell, Meet Loaf is roaring into New Port Richey. Meet Loaf: The Ultimate Meat Loaf Tribute Band brings the anthems of Meat Loaf and songwriter Jim Steinman to the Richey Suncoast Theatre stage for one Saturday night show on January 30.
Bat Out of Hell, Live on Grand Boulevard
Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman and sung by Michael Lee Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, arrived in 1977, and the Bat Out of Hell trilogy went on to sell more than 100 million records. Meet Loaf brings those songs to life with soaring male and female lead vocals and the big theatrical moments fans love, from Two Out of Three Ain't Bad to I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That).
A Rocky Horror Connection
Before the platinum records, Meat Loaf thought of himself as an actor first. He roared onto the screen as Eddie in the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, singing Hot Patootie. It is a fitting full circle for a theatre that just wrapped its own Rocky Horror run this October.
Meet the Band
Meet Loaf is the creation of South Florida's Benny Israel, who steps into the role of Meat Loaf with a look-alike, sound-alike performance. He is joined by a powerhouse female lead for the famous duets and an all-star band, and the show took first place in the South Florida Fair Classic Rock Tribute Band Competition.
Why You Don't Want to Miss It
Award-winning tribute: First place winner of the South Florida Fair Classic Rock Tribute Band Competition.
