Updated: Oct 6
A Christmas Carol Auditions, Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 PM All roles are open and no experience is necessary. Complete the audition form before 3 PM on your audition day.
Richey Suncoast Theatre is casting A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted for the stage and directed by Jess Glass. If you have ever wanted to step onto a historic stage for the holidays, this is your chance. We are holding auditions for performers and technical interviews for backstage volunteers.
A Holiday Tradition on Grand Boulevard
Scrooge, Tiny Tim, three unforgettable ghosts and a whole town of carolers. This classic tale of redemption is bound to be a hit with local families this season, and there is a good chance it will sell out. As Richey Suncoast Theatre celebrates its 100th year, there is no better time to be part of a holiday show in a theatre that has been entertaining New Port Richey since 1926.
No Experience Necessary
All roles are open. Whether you have been performing for years or this is your very first audition, we want to meet you. This is a non-paid performing and volunteer opportunity, with nominal stipends available for certain offstage volunteer positions.
How to Prepare
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and a holiday carol. There will be caroling during the show, so please prepare one verse and chorus of your favorite Christmas carol or holiday song (no more than 1 minute total).
You may sing a cappella or with a backing track on your device. If you have an iPhone, please bring a dongle adaptor to plug into our sound system. Monologues are not required but are welcome.
Headshots and resumes are encouraged but not required. You may send them in advance to jglass@richeysuncoasttheatre.com.
Want to Help Backstage?
Not a performer? Technical interviews are happening on the same nights. If you would like to volunteer backstage, please share your interest and the positions you are interested in using the online form before October 18.
