The Little Mermaid Jr. Production Team Interviews for Kids Ages 10 to 18
Updated: Oct 6
The Little Mermaid Jr. Production Team Interviews, Thursday, October 22 to Saturday, October 24, 2026 Open to young people ages 10 to 18, and no experience is necessary. Apply by noon on Monday, October 19.
Richey Suncoast Theatre is building the backstage crew for our all-youth production of Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr., proudly presented by Duke Energy, and we are looking for creative kids who want to help bring Ariel's underwater world to life.
Calling All Creative Kids, Ages 10 to 18
Not every theatre kid wants to be in the spotlight. This is a volunteer opportunity for young people who are curious about the backstage and technical side of theatre. Production team members learn new skills, work alongside experienced adult mentors and see firsthand how a full stage production comes together.
No Experience Necessary
All positions are open and no experience is required. Adult mentorship and training will be provided. This is a non-paid volunteer opportunity, and as Richey Suncoast Theatre celebrates its 100th year, it is a great way for the next generation to get involved in a theatre that has been part of New Port Richey since 1926.
How the Interviews Work
Complete the application form with your parent or guardian. Once applications have been reviewed, you will receive a Microsoft Teams interview time slot and instructions by email. All interviews are held virtually.
Be prepared to answer questions like these, and additional questions may be asked:
Why do you think you would be a good fit for this role?
What is your overall vision for the show as it pertains to this role?
Is there anything else you would like us to know about your past experience that would make you a good fit for the team?
How do you deal with difficult situations?
Do you definitely have the availability to be involved in this show?
If you have any specific designs you would like to share during your interview, please have them ready.
Parent Information
Everyone on the production team must have access, either personally or through a parent or guardian, to our Facebook group. Important information about rehearsals, production meetings, tech week and performances will be shared there.
