Keeping the Curtain Rising: A Heartfelt Farewell to Amanda Jones

At Richey Suncoast Theatre, we often talk about the magic that happens on stage. But today, I want to pull back the curtain and celebrate someone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make that magic possible.

We are honoring Amanda Jones, our former Board Member and Vice President, as she transitions into her next chapter.

From Surviving to Thriving

Three years ago, RST was in a very different place. Amanda joined us during a pivotal moment, helping guide the theatre from a state of "barely surviving" to "truly thriving." Her impact wasn't just felt in board meetings; it was felt in every corner of this historic building.

Amanda’s dedication knew no bounds:

  • Financial Stewardship: She helped rebuild our finances and strengthen our ties to the New Port Richey community.

  • Creative Energy: She infused the theatre with a renewed sense of passion and possibility.

  • The "Whatever it Takes" Attitude: Whether it was high-level strategy or sewing costumes minutes before the curtain rose, Amanda was there.

A Gift of Memories

To show our gratitude, the Board and employees presented Amanda with a custom-made blanket. It is imprinted with scenes from the many amazing moments she helped make possible. We hope it serves as a warm reminder of the legacy she leaves behind.

The Path Ahead

Amanda, your passion, skill, and commitment over the last three years have made all the difference. Because of you, our creative energy is stronger than ever. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help keep the curtain rising at RST!
