Step back in time and honor the birth of modern cinema at the Richey Suncoast Theatre! Join us next Monday at 11:00 AM for a full day of celebration in partnership with Downtown New Port Richey. This special event is part of National Silent Movie Day, offering film lovers a unique opportunity to experience classic cinema just as audiences did a century ago.

🎬 Film Screenings

We’ll be showcasing silent film classics in two sessions:

  • 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (repeated session)

Highlights include short films from cinema pioneers:

  • George Méliès

  • Thomas Edison

  • Charlie Chaplin

  • Buster Keaton

Our featured presentation is 1928’s “The Racket”, starring New Port Richey’s adopted movie star Thomas Meighan.
