48 Hours to Theatre 54: One Night to Save a Century

In 1925, a building was raised in downtown New Port Richey for one purpose — to bring people together for live performance.
By the 1970s, that same building stood silent. Empty. At risk of being lost.
And then a group of locals decided that wasn't going to happen.
They saved it. They scrubbed the floors, restored the stage, and brought the lights back up. They called the new chapter "Richey Suncoast Theatre" — and 54 years later, the doors are still open.
This Friday is a thank you to that legacy. And a down payment on the next 100 years.
