As your local community theatre, we find it important to bring you opportunities that will help you grow as an artist.  We will bringing in master teachers and tapping into our own local talent and community for instruction will be available through out our season.

We anticipate classes in improv, acting, vocals, dance, lighting design, sound tech, set/prop design, audition skills, and more!  If you have ideas contributions, contact us TODAY to get into our artist's corner database!

Richey Suncoast Theatre Kids! Presents: Shrek the Musical JR.

Bring your family and friends to experience the magic of Shrek the Musical JR.! Our talented RST Kids, aged 18 and under, will dazzle you both on stage and behind the scenes in this exciting new theatre arts initiative. We are delighted to introduce this program at Richey Suncoast Theatre, where our young performers, production crew, and young artists’ committee will all have the opportunity to shine.

About the Production:
 
Your favorite ogre and his swamp friends star in this colorful, song-filled, hilarious musical! This production allows kids under the age of 18 to shine on stage and behind the scenes with an all-youth cast, production crew, and young artists’ committee.
Originally produced on Broadway by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, this production was directed by Jason Moore and Rob Ashford. It is based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig, with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.
Shrek the Musical JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
The energy of these young performers is truly inspiring! We're so proud of our RST Kids who are pouring their hearts into Shrek The Musical JR.! You won't want to miss seeing their incredible talent.

🎭The Acting Class Performance🎭

Join us for a special evening celebrating the culmination of hard work and talent from "The Acting Class"! Under the expert guidance of Artistic Director Cynthia White, our dedicated students have spent weeks honing their acting skills and are thrilled to present a showcase performance for you.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to witness the emerging talent in our community and show your support for these passionate actors. Your presence means the world to them! About "The Acting Class": "The Acting Class" is a comprehensive program designed to guide aspiring actors through professional techniques and develop their stage presence. This current class has been taught by the esteemed Cynthia White, Artistic Director, who brings a wealth of experience and passion to her students.

Have you ever watched a sketch and thought, “I could top that,” or caught yourself thinking up punchlines on the fly?

Then this workshop is for YOU.

Join us for hands-on comedy workshop where you’ll write, develop, and perform your own original sketch and improv scenes—culminating in a live showcase performance!

Led by playwright, actor, director, and comedian John Sallustio, this workshop builds comedic timing, ensemble chemistry, and writing skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Meet the Richey Suncoast Rogues –
RST’s Elite Performance Troupe!

🗓️ Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 7:00–8:30 PM
📍 Peace Hall – 5600 Sims Lane, New Port Richey

The Richey Suncoast Rogues are Richey Suncoast Theatre’s invitation-only performance troupe, featuring our most advanced sketch and improv performers—handpicked from our workshop alumni.
Under the direction of Daisy Thomas, our Community Engagement Director and Lead Improv Instructor, this talented group meets weekly to rehearse, write, and prepare for special events and community showcases.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM

🎬 First Rehearsal: Tuesday, July 22
🎭 Final Showcase: Monday, September 23
