As your local community theatre, we find it important to bring you opportunities that will help you grow as an artist. We will bringing in master teachers and tapping into our own local talent and community for instruction will be available through out our season.

Richey Suncoast Theatre is launching a dynamic new Playwrights’ Workshop — and it’s not just for writers! Actors and directors, this is your backstage pass to the creative process.

Whether you're a seasoned storyteller or just starting out, this workshop is your chance to:
Develop original plays in a supportive, hands-on environment Collaborate with actors and directors to bring scripts to life Sharpen cold-reading and performance skills

The Play That Goes Wrong?
Have you ever watched a sketch and thought, “I could top that,” or caught yourself thinking up punchlines on the fly?
Then this workshop is for YOU.
Join us for hands-on comedy workshop where you’ll write, develop, and perform your own original sketch and improv scenes—culminating in a live showcase performance!
Led by playwright, actor, director, and comedian John Sallustio, this workshop builds comedic timing, ensemble chemistry, and writing skills in a fun, supportive environment.
